With utmost gratitude, we would like to give a HUGE “Shout Out” and THANK YOU to Teresa for the tremendous support that she provided throughout our journey. Overall, she made a total of 8 roadtrips in a RAM 1500 truck to meet us at various locations between Virginia and Maine (11 states) including our original drop-off in Waynesboro, VA and final pick-up in Baxter State Park, ME. Those round trip visits totaled approximately 5500 miles of driving on highways, winding roads (Skyline Drive), logging roads, and dirt paths. This was absolutely crazy considering that is 2.5 times the number of miles we hiked.
The visits were also instrumental given that she provided essential elements that were critical to our success. These included 1) reserving hotel stays, 2) purchasing resupplies, 3) bringing fresh clothes from home, 4) freeing us of gear we no longer needed, 5) preparing food & drinks, 6) shuttling us to various stores, restaurants and AT Conservancies, 7) organizing surprise stays including a popular resort in Killington, Vermont (and picking up Christina), 8) numerous video chats, and more….
For this and being the perfect TRAIL ANGEL, we Thank You!
